When Mark built their house in 1996, the builder recommended a young cabinet builder to tackle the huge amount of cabinets and built-ins specified in most rooms of the house. Steve E did an incredible job! Now, after 25 years as a master cabinet builder, Steve is not only an amazing craftsman, he is our trusted and faithful foreman at Integrity. You can find him in our cabinet shop refinishing or repairing furniture or building cabinets, or out and about tackling the wide range of job requests we get from clients. On the weekends Steve loves camping and, (yes, even in the winter), going fishing. Steve enjoys taking care of people’s needs, working with a great crew, and seeing the smiles on customer’s faces when work is done to their satisfaction. His smile is infectious too!
Meet our staff
Tony and his wife Cheryl have been dear friends of the Ekerens since 1991 and live just down the street. As Integrity grew, Mark and Joan were desperate for good, honest, reliable assistance. Always ready to help folks out, Tony and Cheryl stepped up and have been a tremendous asset, especially in the summer. Tony grew up in Brainerd and was very active in sports, and has passed on the love of the game to hundreds of Northfield athletes. Tony is a Phy Ed teacher in the Northfield School System and also coaches basketball and baseball. In the summer months, as he is liable to say, “I just mow”, but the truth is that Tony helps Integrity with all kinds of lawn care and landscaping, as well as supervisory duties when asked. He enjoys interacting with customers and seeing the look of satisfaction of their faces when a job is done right.
Tim drives up every day from Faribault and has been with us since 2011. He loves spending time with his wife and 2 boys and plays drums for a Worship Team at his church. Tim has been a cabinet installer for 17 years, and had his own cabinet shop for 7 years. He is an exceptional worker, is skilled in many construction facets and has a marvelous, positive attitude. He enjoys meeting the customer’s expectations, and doing his best every day to satisfy the customer’s needs with their projects.
Sir Jim and Mark go back a long way. Jim also grew up in the Northfield area and he owned his own painting and drywall business for 25 years. Now Integrity calls upon Jim for special project work, particularly in the painting and drywall arenas. Jim is currently a Paramedic Instructor at 2 community colleges in Minnesota. He is also the leader of the Northfield EMS Explorer Post and the training officer of the MN EMS Honor Guard. Jim is also an accomplished artist, particularly in the charcoal portrait arena. He enjoys visiting with Integrity customers and providing them with high quality work at an affordable price. He appreciates working with a group of very skilled team members at Integrity.
Shaun has returned to Integrity after a hiatus with Koch refinery. We’re thrilled to have him back. Shaun was a Navy Seabee and brings to Integrity a military bearing and a “get it done” spirit that is as inspirational as it is effective. Shaun grew up in Central Texas, but is managing to survive Minnesota winters and we’re glad he’s doing so! Shaun and his wife Patty and daughter would like to own a hobby farm – Shaun would like to be a shade tree mechanic. Shaun enjoys the stories and life experiences customer share with him, and he is proud to be part of a company that focuses on helping people.
Paul is Shaun’s dad and comes to us from Texas as well. He did grow up in Minnesota, so he’s familiar with our winters. He and his wife have three children and they enjoy traveling and fishing. Paul brings 25 years of construction experience of all types to Integrity and we’re excited to have him as part of our team. He has built several houses, and worked in both residential and commercial construction. He loves to take care of things that cause concern for people and he believes that helping people is what we are intended to be and do.
Shaun just keeps bringing us great people. Brooks is Shaun’s brother-in-law and is a cheerful and willing-to-do-most-everything kind of guy. Brooks hails from Texas and enjoys long runs, biking, hiking and football. Brooks’ wife is a chef and works at the Cakewalk cup cake store in Northfield so it’s a good thing Brooks likes all this exercise. We’re not sure how he maintains his healthy physique. Brooks says that being honest and having strong morals to do the right thing is what means most to him at Integrity. He fits right in with our name!
Mark comes to us as a referral from our very own Tony M. I must admit Tony has good taste in friends. Mark is an impressive individual. He and his wife have twin boys who graduated in 2015 and have headed off to college. No wonder he wants a little extra work! Mark enjoys playing golf, boating and he coaches both boys and girls tennis at the Northfield High School. He likes to take care of people’s homes as if they were his own and believes customers should be able to see a job well done. He’s looking forward to working with Integrity and doing a good job for folks in Northfield.
We’re thrilled that Nick is joining his wife Emma here at the Integrity family. Nick grew up in Wanamingo and was home schooled. He also studied Hydraulic Engineering through Penn State. Nick and his ever-expanding family (#3 is on the way), enjoy time together and Nick enjoys hunting and fishing. Nick has 2 years’ experience as an Operating Engineer, 3 years as a Maintenance Manager, and 3 years as a journeyman Carpenter. He enjoys helping people solve problems, and likes odd and unusual jobs the most. Nick is looking forward to working closer to home with a group of people who seem to be more like family than co-workers. Welcome aboard Nick!
If you’ve read Tony M’s bio, you’ve seen Cheryl’s name. Great friends and neighbors of the Ekeren’s, Cheryl has thoroughly impressed us over the years with her care of their wooden house, staining the entire structure every 3 years! It looks like brand new all the time. Needless to say, Cheryl is the go-to staining specialist in the summer, as well as gardener, cleaner, painter and anything else we can cook up for her. Her enthusiasm is infectious and cherished by the Integrity staff and customers alike. Cheryl builds beautiful doll houses and the expertise required to do such meticulous and beautiful work carries over into her Integrity jobs. She loves meeting new people, and appreciates the trust and confidence Mark and Joan exhibit in her work.
Bev has single-handedly stopped Mark and Joan’s hair loss! What an accomplishment. Before Bev’s arrival, Mark and Joan were doing the bookwork themselves at night and on the weekends. Bev’s expertise in banking and bookkeeping for their farm operation has been enthusiastically received by Integrity, and paychecks and billing now go out on time and the bank account is balanced to the penny! Most customers don’t see her because Bev is the employee behind the scenes, but she is an invaluable asset nevertheless.
Jan loves people and her job and we love Jan. Her ready smile and laugh are infectious and delightful. Jan grew up on a farm in Iowa and attended the University of Northern Iowa. She spent 32 years working for a large company supporting computer clients from around the world. She has 3 children, 5 grandchildren and loves horseback riding, gardening and lunch with friends. Her love of people is evident in her cheerful disposition and she loves being able to work for such nice folks while enjoying her job.
Emma was the maid of honor at our daughter Jessica’s wedding, and has been like a daughter to Mark for years. She has taken on the daunting role of Cleaning Manager, and is doing a splendid job. She has a delightful, happy spirit and makes everyone smile in the morning. Emma and her husband Nick, and daughter Penny, live in Northfield. She is a horseback rider along with loads of other hobbies and experiences. Emma says that respect and loyalty to our customers is the main message of the company, and she’s proud to be part of it. We’re proud to have you on board too, Emma!
Jennifer is one of our most experienced employees and is one of the "Leads" in Joan's cleaning business. She grew up in Colorado and Minnesota and moved around frequently, attending many different schools. Her hobbies include fishing, camping, swimming, movie viewing and shopping. Besides Integrity work, Jen is kept busy raising 3 children. What means the most to her in her job with us is that people trust us to come into their homes. Thank you Jennifer! That’s what it’s all about at Integrity House Services. You are invaluable to Integrity.
Susan has been a wonderful addition to the Integrity family. She is our early bird and comes in each morning, with a smile on her face and a “can do” attitude. Susan and her husband have four children and she was born and raised in Northfield – an official “Townie”! We are thankful that Susan came to Integrity with residential house cleaning experience. She loves to meet nice people and help them out. She enjoys working with the Integrity crew and appreciates working as a team.
